CI and cli/rust-toolchain.toml now pin nightly-2026-08-01 instead of floating nightly, because newer nightlies break the build:

  • 2026-10-04 and later: branches 0.4.4, which turso_core 0.8.3 needs as ^0.4, calls the removed core::intrinsics::abort.
  • 2026-09-23 to 09-27 and later: allocator_api changes break turso_core (index_method/fts/directory.rs).
  • Mid-August and later: clippy reports false positives on #[async_trait] code (double_must_use, and later a trait-solver overflow).

The Turso 0.8.3 update (#345) is stacked on top of this. Revert the pin once Turso releases a version that builds on current nightly.

Newer nightlies fail to build turso_core 0.8.3: its `branches` 0.4
dependency calls the removed `core::intrinsics::abort`, and allocator_api
changes break its FTS directory code. Nightlies from mid-August onwards also
trip clippy false positives on #[async_trait] code.
