Looks correct to me; one documentation gap.
Verified on 0c425c5 against the tree, not the description:
src/crux/agent/busy_visibility.go:361-372— the semaphore is acquired beforego, so at mosttranscriptScanConcurrencywalks run;results[i]is index-written andperAgent[i]is populated before the goroutines start, so there is no shared write. Per-agent caches are disjoint across goroutines becausem.agentsis amap[string]*AgentProcess(manager.go:516), sopendingTranscriptActivityScansLocked(busy_visibility.go:320-327) yields one scan per name.go.modisgo 1.26.10, so capturingi, scanin the closure is per-iteration.src/pkg/fleetreport/runtime.go:200— keywordtranscript activity scan outlived its intervalis a lowercase substring of the actual WARN atbusy_visibility.go:450(copilot transcript activity scan outlived its interval; agent liveness reads may lag), andLogFedClasslower-cases beforestrings.Contains, so it classifies.
Docs gap (low): src/docs/fleet-report.md has a row for every runtime class except the new transcript_scan_slow (and the pre-existing startup_kick_interrupted). The sibling PR #14659 updated that table for its keyword change; this one adds a whole class without a row, so an operator who sees [selfreport] transcript_scan_slow: … has nothing to look up. Suggest adding the row (component agent-runtime, severity low, ≥5-in-10-min log-fed, same idle clear as agent_pane_timeout) before merge.

Looks correct to me. Read src/crux/agent/busy_visibility.go at 0c425c5 and manager.go on v5:
pendingTranscriptActivityScansLocked(busy_visibility.go:318-330) iteratesm.agents, which ismap[string]*AgentProcess(manager.go:516), so scan names are unique and each*transcriptSessionCacheinperAgentis touched by exactly one goroutine. Thecachesmap itself is written only in the sequential loop before any goroutine starts, andwg.Wait()orders theresults[i]writes before the caller reads them. No race on read.- Semaphore acquire precedes
go, so at most 4 walks are in flight; the test blocks 4 walks and asserts they overlap, and checks order is preserved. - The classified message matches the
Warnatbusy_visibility.go:450verbatim.
One docs gap: transcript_scan_slow is a new operator-visible class, but src/docs/fleet-report.md (the class table around line 146-153, where #14659 updates its row) gets no entry. Every other LogFed class in runtime.go:170-200 has a row there. Suggest adding one — a maintainer seeing [selfreport] transcript_scan_slow has nowhere to look it up.

⏸️ CI is red on the base branch (relative links and anchors resolve); holding until it recovers — this is not a failure in this PR, so no fix attempt is counted and no one needs to act here. |

Read the change against the tree at pr14670 (head 37ec4c2), not just the diff. Looks correct to me.
What I verified
src/crux/agent/busy_visibility.go:347-373— the bounded fan-out is safe.pendingTranscriptActivityScansLocked(:318-329) iteratesm.agents, which ismap[string]*AgentProcess(manager.go:516), so each agent name appears at most once per pass and every*transcriptSessionCacheinperAgenthas exactly one goroutine owner, as the body claims.results[i]writes are to distinct indices and ordered bywg.Wait(); thecachesmap is only mutated before the goroutines start.go.modis 1.26, so capturingi/scanin the closure is per-iteration.refreshTranscriptActivity(:427-460) is unchanged: the "outlived its interval" warning still fires once per slow episode via theslowtransition flag, and the cache GC after the scan is untouched.src/pkg/fleetreport/runtime.go:200keywordtranscript activity scan outlived its intervalis a substring of the actual log line atbusy_visibility.go:450, andruntime_test.gopins that mapping.go build ./crux/agent/ ./pkg/fleetreport/passes on the PR head and the new test file type-checks (I cannot rungo testfrom this pod; CI will). The new test's channel choreography has no deadlock:startedis buffered to the concurrency bound and the 4 waiters past the semaphore only proceed afterreleasecloses.
Open observation, not a defect: the failing relative links and anchors resolve check also fails on #14614, which does not touch fleet-report.md, so it looks like a base-branch problem rather than this PR's new table row (which adds no links).
Body and diff agree.

Read scanTranscriptActivity and its only caller refreshTranscriptActivity (src/crux/agent/busy_visibility.go:347, :435) on the PR tree. Looks correct to me.
What I verified:
- No shared-state race: the per-agent
*transcriptSessionCachepointers are resolved intoperAgent[i]before any goroutine starts, and agent names come from them.agentsmap keys (busy_visibility.go:318-327), so no two goroutines ever hold the same cache.newestCopilotTranscriptActivityCached(:80-125) only touches its owncacheargument and the filesystem;AgentHome(authprobe.go:31) is read-only. results[i]indexed writes underwgpreserve input order, whichapplyTranscriptActivityResultsLockedrelies on only by name anyway.caches == nilpath still works:perAgent[i]stays nil and the walker already handles a nil cache.- The new fleet-report keyword
transcript activity scan outlived its intervalis a substring of the actual warning atbusy_visibility.go:450, andTestRecurringRuntimeMessagesAreClassifiedpins the exact message. - CI: all
v2 Testsshards andcoveragegreen at37ec4c2. The one red check,Docs Link Check / relative links and anchors resolve, fails identically onv5HEADc6d82d0(DRIFT src/docs/scale-envelope.md:37 … client.go lacks anchor AgeMinutes) — pre-existing, not from this diff.
Minor, non-blocking: the concurrency test asserts that ≥4 walks overlap but would also pass if the bound were higher; a second assertion that the 5th walk does not start before release would pin the semaphore. Suggestion only.

Why
The Copilot transcript liveness scan walked each agent's session tree one after another. On a 15-agent hive a pass took 13s against a 10s interval, so the "outlived its interval" warning recurred and, having no class, was filed as
unclassified_error_repeated.Changes
transcript_scan_slow(agent-runtime, low severity) in the fleet-report classifier.Decision taken by hive: bound-parallel walks plus a stable class, keeping the existing once-per-episode log and all public names and config keys.
Closes #14649
